Queensland has a sub tropical to tropical climate with very mild to warm temperatures all year round. In the summer time the average maximum temperature is usually around 29 degrees C in Brisbane and as high as 32 degrees C in Cairns and Tropical North Queensland. Minimum temperatures in summer are generally around 20 degrees C in Brisbane and 23 degrees C in Tropical North Queensland. In winter the maximum temperature in Brisbane is around 20 degrees C whilst up in Cairns it is still around 25 degrees C. Minimum temperatures in winter can be as low as 9 degrees in Brisbane and 17 degrees in Cairns.
