New South Wales lies in the moderate temperate zone and so the winters are mild and the summers warm. During summer Sydney will have an average maximum temperature of 27 degrees C with an average minimum temperature of 17 degrees C. During winter the average maximum temperature for Sydney is 16 degrees C whilst the average minimum temperature is 7 degrees C. Areas such as Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains have much colder winters, experiencing snow which makes this area great for skiing in winter.
So whether it be relaxing on the uncrowded beaches of the south coast, taking adventure hikes through fresh mountain air, visiting the remote towns of outback New South Wales or spending some time in the nationals capital Canberra (in the Australian Capital Territory), some of Australia's best experiences can be found in New South Wales.
